Playa El Cocal is located few minutes away from the town of La Libertad; both Playa San Blas and El Cocal represent what in the past was the Hacienda Santa Emilia. Its land extension takes both beaches divided by the mouth of a river; this river forms a rock land with various meters of extension with sections were different kind of waves break giving the surfers options depending on its surfing level. The beach point break is also called La Coquera or El Recodo and it’s located between two beach breaks: Conchalio and San Blas. In Conchalio, because of its rock beach you would find rights and lefts wave sections. Playa San Blas is an impressive black volcanic sand beach with a few residential areas visited mostly on weekends by the local tourists
Located at Playa El Tunco, the main activity at El Tunco is surf; which is why it offers many options for surfers of all kind of levels. Next to Playa El Tunco is Playa El Sunzal; Playa El Sunzal is a classic right point break with long lines, perfect for long boards and for surfers that wish to improve it skills. In the other hand; next to Playa El Tunco is La Bocana, which is the most furious left in El Salvador, it is a fast wave with tubular sections, ideal for dared experienced surfers. Between La Bocana and El Sunzal are 2 beach breaks: El Sunzalito and La Bocanita, these two get in perfect conditions mostly in high tide.
Playa El Zonte is located in the Salvadorian Litoral’s Road at Km. 53; Playa El Zonte is 45 minutes away from the International Airport of Comalapa and 45 minutes away from the City of San Salvador. El Zonte is a little village divided by the mouth of a river that also forms a right point break with a rocky bottom. Inside the little village you will find many hostels, surf camps and hotels that are ideal for back packers. In El Zonte you will find the comfort you look for; has a quiet atmosphere and you will be surrounded by friendly local surfers. There are many exceptional body boarders in this beach, and you will be certainly amazed by its radical skills and tricks.
