Locals like to tease Marcelo about being a model because, well, he's a good looking guy and is constantly showing up in the press, maybe also because he does a little modeling on the side. He likes to see himself as a beacon for Salvadoran youth as a driving force in Christian Surfers El Salvador, and even recently started a chapter in Buenas Aires, Argentina where he's studying to be a chef.? But one thing that isn't up for debate is that Marcelo can surf. Marcelo is the only member of our team who doesn't live at a beach, but he's one of the most dedicated surfers you'll ever meet, plus his skills cannot be questioned. Look for him on podiums around Central America, beaches in South America, and in the next edition of The Surfer¡¯s Bible.
